Why Are Americans So Stupid? And So Proud Of It

In this article, we going to talk about the answer ” why are Americans so stupid?” and explain what are the factors related to establishing this stereotype. While many people will answer with a firm yes or no, things cannot be overgeneralized and set a truth.

Why are Americans so stupid? Why do they consider it normal to drown out the facts with their opinions, rumors, and speculation? Ted Roll has a theory, and it’s definitely not pleasant.

  • Americans are stupid.

That’s what people say. Especially not from America.

But many Americans also think that Americans are stupid. They certainly don’t think they’re stupid. They think other Americans are stupid.

It won’t be a shock, even for an idiot, if I admit here that one of the Americans who consider Americans to be mentally retarded … is me.

I understand that there is enough stupidity everywhere, but …

But what makes American stupidity different is that most Americans – I mean stupid representatives – don’t even think it’s wrong to be stupid. They are not at all ashamed of their stupidity and, moreover, they are damn proud of it.

And the dumb ones even ridicule the small and constantly shrinking population of the smart, because they are hopelessly ignorant and out of touch with real life.

Want to study astrophysics? You’re a nerd. No prom date!

Did you know that the fake story about Hillary Clinton selling uranium to China is bullshit? Don’t say that on Twitter. Trump fans will tell you that you are just a brainwashed idiot. Never mind the facts. Maybe you’re a traitor too.

For the new wave of dumb Americans, facts are worth far less than the opinions they make up or the fake stories they find on many of the fake news sites they are targeting.

Even midget throwers think Americans are dumb.

I haven’t been everywhere, but I’ve traveled a lot. And what historians have documented as a tradition of anti-intellectualism in America seems completely unique.

Even in Australia, on the land of our Anglo-Saxon brothers in culture, where dwarf throwing is a well-known thing (and, as far as I know, is still in use), there has never been a real political party called Nothingness.

There was such a party in America. Actually. And that’s not all, when historians refer to Nothingness, no one snorts with a grin. Instead, everyone nods in understanding. Maybe. Affective flattening. This is what we do. From The Simpsons to Green Day’s punk rock opera American Idiot to Mike Judge’s partially banned film Idiocracy, our cultural commentators have repeatedly teased the country’s “dumb and proud” stance. But it does not change anything. As dumb and proud, they remained so.

The USA is a country where smart people have to pretend to be fools.

This is, after all, a country where smart people have to pretend, like an old Flipper song from the 1980s, “being stupider than you really are” in order to fit in.

Reality shows and TV evangelists are nonsense, nothing embodies the national cult of making fun of everything more clearly than our electoral politics.

Among Republicans, there are well-read men and women with an impressive level of education who have achieved a lot, but who pretend to believe in an obvious lie to them, and all because those many voters they need are damn stupid.

When US President-elect Donald Trump claims global warming is a myth that China foisted on America to destroy our economy, listen, he knows better. And his followers do not, for them such statements are something new that they themselves could have come up with if they were just a little … smarter. Ted Cruz, who is also not a fool, pretends not to believe that humans do not influence climate change. Because this is what he believes (and, by the way, right), the bulk of the uneducated mass of middle-class Americans and Christian fundamentalists want to hear. And he’s right. It calms them down.

And forget about this pack of wacky governors and senators (senators!) Who claim to think the earth is about 6,000 years old because the Bible is there. Most of them simply pretend to believe that “God” wants them to believe this ridiculous tale.

Why is that? Because ignorance plays into the hands of the business. And this is something that even the dumbest Americans would agree with.

Get it and sign it: George W. Bush is actually smart.

Just last week, a friend of mine who was hanging out with George W. Bush told me something that I’ve heard often enough before I believe: the guy is not really a fool.

In a way, this is a relief, since you have to remember that there is such a thing – startup codes. Plus Yale and Harvard.

We even admit that the incumbent does not need to be half the colossal idiot and street bumpkin that Bush pretended to be throughout his political life.

All this time, there were hints that Bush was not stupid. His simple image was about to fade, and the Connecticut Yankee, real grandson of Prescott Bush, emerged as fresh cobblestone on an old pavement after a harsh winter.

This stupid accent is totally fake!

It reminded me of what Bush biographer Kitty Kelly once said: After losing a local election in Texas, Bush Jr. vowed, red as cancer, that he would never quit mowing like a redneck.

He didn’t quit.

It worked.

And it’s depressing.

Obama and Hillary Clinton also deliberately belittle their intelligence.

Considering how much I processed Generalissimo El Busho, while he was engaged in a bombing, hosted the Guantanamo Naval Base, and pumped out cans, it will be fair on my part to note that Bush is no exception.

The power of a silly-sounding accent

That being said, I attribute all of the popularity that Bernie Sanders and Trump enjoy for their unscripted authenticity to the fact that both candidates hear the untrained and stunning Old School New York accent.

Listen to Bernie. He sounds like a relic of the past, Cotter, as soon as he speaks. You see, even for Bernie, the fundamentals have taken the back seat of the real car. And that says something.

Would you believe Trump is actually smart?

It’s true. Yes, I know that Trump often talks like an idiot when he speaks, especially on Twitter, where he tweets with the grammar and vocabulary of a fourth-grader.

But this is all just a game.

He is, after all, an Ivy League alumnus whose sister, Marianne Trump Barry, is a senior district judge. She was appointed by Bill Clinton to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit a long time ago. And Trump’s uncle is far from being a simpleton: John J. Trump was a physicist and professor of mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Despite the “newbie” and confusion with Ivanka, despite the fact that he does not have a lot of knowledge about economics, science, or world politics, Trump still believes that he needs to go even further down the dumb ladder.

Case in point: This stupid baseball cap and the tagline “Make America Great Again”.

This deliberate attempt to appear uneducated works wonders with its huge base of truly uneducated working-class supporters. And he knows it.

Trump knows why it took the mainstream media so long to realize this: the vast majority of Americans are stupid and stupid in fact, and they are happy to remain that way. In fact, they carry their stupidity as a sign of honor. They are proud of it.

So why are Americans so stupid and so proud of it?

Repeat the title of the article as often as I can because I want to know: why? What happened to America that caused generations of children to grow up fools? And what is the reason that this has become in the order of things?

Our schools are to blame for this.

In schools, children are no longer taught to think. They memorize the facts, that’s all. Rhetoric, debate, logical construction of reasoning are already extracurricular activities.

This explains why there are so many people who are loyal to Trump who have “everything going wrong.” They are unable to distinguish facts from someone else’s opinion on the Internet, and they put real news from the Poynter Institute, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fact-checking site Politifact, on the same shelf with the fake news that so-called “conservative news ”such as Infowars.

They have no idea how to sort out what they read about, or how to check the scandalous claims that sites like this feed them. It’s not that these people are so incurable, it’s just that they’ve never been taught anything better – and their reasoning skills aren’t sufficiently developed to force themselves to try them out. This is the failure of the American education system.

Therefore, the vast majority of American children in this country end up becoming adults who believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and each has the same power as anyone else.

Even if this is not the case, even if one cannot dispute the fact with someone’s opinion, no matter how loud, dirty and offensive it sounds, they nevertheless believe him.

In addition, it is possible that the media crushing caused by Internet technology, allowing untrained logic minds to consume editors’ crap around the clock, is also responsible.

Again, I could be wrong.
